Big Question Mark on this watchAug 12, 2010 I have bought this watch... but...
1/ Reading all the below comments, I would -indeed- recommend careful thinking before YOU buy it.
2/ The watch is nice-looking for "dynamic looking" people, even sportsmen (like its advertisement), but is sensitive ! (too often broken, sensitive to magnetic areas like airports...)
3/ I have had a previous TISSOT similar watch (Titanium T690) and mine broke down after 10 years. Still perfect looking, but no use...
4/ I have had bought the Casio Solar 1300 in-between with similar functions and it is technically better to my opinion (I will continue using this CASIO for travelling and sporting as I read that the TISSOT's is sensitive to too many things).
5/ The price was definitively too high (in my case 800 Euro in Geneva in August 2010 - 1125 CHF in each shop - !)
So, in the end, if you like to have a few good watches like me, if you like digital, why not buy a Casio Digital (some are still nice looking and certainly much lower price) and buy a nice TISSOT or any good reputation watch WITHOUT digital features, because you will be confronted to a breakdown in 10 years with a very expensive watch and expensive to repair -and of no use if you do not repair it (like my T690)-, and still nice looking (mine is perfect looking but paying the price of a Casio Solar, just to repair it...)
Consider this... a watch should work a minimum of 30 years... but these models won't...

Do not let your battery last until dead, you may lose your machineFeb 19, 2010 I was very happy until the battery died, I sent it to a Tissot Center for a battery change, that is because it cannot be changed elsewhere, and there they found that the machine was also damage, just because the battery was dead for 35 days, they were in holidays, and they took 30 days just to take a look of my watch.
Do not let your battery last until dead; you may lose your watch.
It is very delicate!!!.

If you want a good watch for 2 years....Oct 14, 2009 I bought this watch 2.5 years ago on Amazon for around $500. Watch looks great and worked very well for the first 2.5 years. Died last month. Took it in for a battery change. First surprise - not a simple $10-20 job. Estimates to change battery ranged from $40-$150!!. Some watch places refused to do it. Luckily, I took it to a reputable place who refused to charge me anything when they discovered that the watch would not run on a new battery.
I happened to be in a city with a Tissot service center (found out watch is made by Swatch). They told me that water got inside and that it would need both a movement and crystal replacement at a cost of $350. I thought the watch was waterproof to 100ft so I had swum and taken showers with it. They said it was only water resistant to 100ft. Apparently this means that you might be able to wash your hands with it on. I might note that this is not pointed out in any of the literature you get with the watch.
So, if you can afford a new watch every couple of years and don`t mind taking the watch off when you get near water, this watch is for you. Otherwise, look for either watches marked water resistant to 300ft (100 metres) or waterproof.

Nice Watch!Sep 10, 2009 I had been longing to buy this watch for a long time because of its T-Touch features but was not convinced with the earlier Titanium bracelet models. I saw this polished Titanium and liked it instantly and my wife liked it too and we just ordered it! When it arrived, it arrived in a nice Tissot case with all literature except for the manufacturer warranty card. Amazon provides a 2 year warranty on this and they assured this is a Genuine Tissot!
The features are amazing! Looks real good on my wrist and did not even need the size of the Bracelet adjusted.
The only thing which I did not realize was that though this a Quartz, it runs a battery. I was under the impression that this needed no battery. My bad for not checking. Never the less, this is one great time piece :) and I love it!

For fashion only, do not use in real worldSep 09, 2009 The T-Touch is nice looking and fun to play with, but as several other reviewers have found, even light wear and tear will break it in just a year or two. It is not at all waterproof or even water resistant, for example. A Tissot service representative told me that even normal hand washing can subject the watch to too much water pressure and that many watches are returned with water damage. The touch screen on my watch failed for unknown reasons (not water damage) and the price to fix it was about 50% of the price of a new watch! Once the touch screen breaks you cannot set the time, so the watch becomes useless.
The altimeter and compass functions (when working) are interesting. The temperature (of your arm) is not too useful, nor is the barometric pressure even though it reports pressure trends. The digital display and hands must show the same time unfortunately. (There is a work around for this problem, but it leaves the hands pointing in strange directions during other functions.) It's hard to read the time via analog hands in the dark and impossible to see the digital display in the dark.
Overall the main issue is the extremely poor reliability. One would think that watches at this price level would work for a long time, but the T-Touch doesn't. Bottom line: With so many watches to choose from, you can surely find one cheaper or better (or both) than the unreliable T-Touch.
