Wow - Service Sticker Shock!!!!Oct 22, 2007

I received by watch about 3 years ago. Paid about 500 for it. I was very pleased with it and the funcitionality until I sent it in for service. The thermometer was stuck at 99 degrees and as such figured it was time for service. I sent it to the location listed on their website and got the estimate back. Wow, what a shock. It was between $200 and $300 for service. Given that the watch was about 500 I find the service amount to be ridiculous. I have a Tag, Sector and various other high end watches. Never have I had to pay that much for service and the Tag is a $2,000 dollar watch!!! Needless to say I will not be having the watch serviced nor will I be buying a Tissot again.

Worst watch I ever bought. In the trash now!Apr 07, 2010

Bought this Tissot because of brand and model. Worked well for a few months and then the watch started to get crazy, with pointers going to one function (altimeter) no matter where you pressed (thermom/time whatever...). Sent to service under garantee and waited for a month to repair. Came back working, but lasted for a couple months again: same problem. Went back to service under the first service garantee. One month again. Worked for bit and it's gone.... Very expensive, NOT waterproof (although they advertise is as an adventure sports watch!!!) and NOT reliable at all. NOT working again now, but out of garantee. NEVER buy this watch. Tissot do not reply to customers too. Sent many e-mails to local representative and to main office in Switzerland. No replies. They are burning the brand history with this model.

p.o.'d in CanadaAug 13, 2008
By bayfield charles Purchased the watch in April. In August the thermometer stopped working. There is no manufacturer's warranty because Amazon is not an authorized re-seller and Amazon says they won't honor their own warranty because I'm in Canada. If you're outside the U.S., you get no warranty whatsoever on this product.

Amazing GagetJun 21, 2008
By Paul Garrison I bought this watch about 2 months ago. I was able to play with one that a guy at work had. Five minutes and I just HAD to have one! It is truly an amazing device! I love the functions. One really great feature this has, it's the first watch I have owned that the crystal really doesn't scratch. The Titanium model is so light you'll forget your waring it. I like to have my watches set to my PC and this one is right on!
Ok now the down side...The band has to be sized and if your weight goes up and down, you'll have a problem. When the band is cut there is no going back. You will have to buy another band if you want a larger size again. There should be some more adjustments for the band. It looks good but I am not really that happy with it.....oh yeah it makes your skin smell under it too.
The illumination is not very good so you can't use the functions at night. Tritium markers would make this watch 100% better! I paid $475 through Amazon but I have seen them go for $850 at jewelry stores. All in all....a wonderful little gadget.

An Wonderful Watch with minor issuesJun 10, 2008

I have had this watch for over a year - maybe closer to two years. I have enjoyed the watch very much and here is why.
First, I am a gadget guy. I like the compass, alarm, and other features. However, if I don't use the features regularly I tend to forget how to do it. You would not think that a touch screen and three buttons could be complicated (and almost none of the functions are complicated) but twice a year when the time changes I have to peek at the manual to remind myself how to change the time. As a minor complaint, to get an accurate temerature reading you have to take the watch off your wrist and put it on a table or something room temperature. Your body heat warms the watch and makes any reading inaccurate.
Second, I am rough on watches. They tend to get bumped and banged and I have chipped the glass face on an untold number of watches. When I purchased this watch from a jeweler in Philadelphia, he told me that the Tissot faces use a crystal that is scratch and chip resistant, and he was right. I still don't have a single chip or scratch on the glass!! There are some abrasions on the metal surrounding the crystal though.
Now here is what I don't like. Usually, I get watches with a metal band because leather after a while tends to ... well ... smell. I hate leather bands that get smelly and you move your arm near your face and you suddenly wonder what died. I thought that rubber would not have this problem. I was wrong. Every week I have to wash the band with soap and I rub the band down with alcohol. It is a pain. I had begun to tire of this routine and decided to purchase a metal Tissot band. (My second complaint) I called the jeweler and requested a price for a band. He called a few days later and told me it was $150!!!!! I asked why and his response was simply that is what Tissot charges and he thought it was insane too. For that much, I would be half way to another Tissot watch.
To conclude, I am very please with the time keeping, functions, style, size, and durablity of this watch. The smell of the rubber band is my only complaint.
