Great watch for the price; looks like it costs hundreds moreJun 10, 2011

This is a great little dress watch. You should note that the specs are wrong as of the date of this review. The watch is 38mm wide, not including the crown, the band width is 19mm, and it's about 8mm thick.
Pros:
- Accurate ETA quartz movement with quickset date feature
- Timeless, clasic, almost vintage design
- Sapphire crystal on a Swiss watch that costs just over $100 is rare
- A great substitute for a Baume & Mercier Classima for the cost-conscious, and I think it looks just as nice
- Very light and comfortable
- Perfect size for a dressier watch, and looks bigger than its size would suggest
Cons:
- 19mm strap width makes finding replacement straps tougher, but most 20mm straps should fit just fine (I put mine on a black 20mm croc strap when I got it)
- Much of the quartz movement is made from plastic, so while it's an ETA, it's an inexpensive movement
- A screw-down caseback (rather than a snap-on) would've been nicer, but Tissot uses snap-ons in a lot of its watches
- More conservative hands would probably fit the design of the watch better

Watch is superb in every respect; an excellent classic dress watch. Be vigilant, however - prices vary widely on this product. Perform your due diligence and shop around; you'll save a bundle if you do!

Just got this watch today. Unfortunately it doesn't look as I expected (differs from the picture). The case is more shiny and the hands are different. I'm not sure the band is leather and it's more rigid than expected (maybe because it's brand new). The thing that bothers me the most is that the 'seconds' hand is not properly centered, it doesn't perfectly allign with the dial lines. I have to go to a watchmaker to fix this problem, hope it won't be expensive. I didn't expect this from a Tissot quality watch.
It still looks really good and the dial window is made from Sapphire.

just got the watch, watch does not exactly look like its pictures ( i am going to upload a picture of the real product), very nice beautiful and simple watch. perfect for a smaller size of wrist, very neat and clean in design and with a vintage look.

I had been given a Tissot for my birthday several years ago, and when my brother graduated from school he told me that he wanted a simple leather band watch with a face that had nothing gold-looking, only white or silver. I searched high and low on sundry watch websites for a Tissot like what he was describing, and then I fortunately found this one on Amazon. As another commenter has noted, the dimensions are not correct as listed; his reported measurements are the true size. In short, it's size is what you would expect for a watch--I've never thought it looked too small or too big.
Regarding the watch, my brother loves it and I do too. And, at this price, it's too good of a deal to pass on. Simple and professional. Comes in an impressive box that includes information about Tissot and a small felt bag for keeping the watch in.
