Thoroughly Pleased!Jun 04, 2010
By T. Morrill So this will be my first Amazon review so here goes: I deliberated quite a bit on this purchase, as this was easily the most money I have ever spent on a watch for myself, but I did buy a Rolex last year for my Wife so, I am not averse to paying for quality. Quite simply though, Rolex doesn't have the bag o'tricks that the Tissot Sea-Touch has, so I went for it. I received my watch as promptly as possible with the mail schedule we have (I am currently deployed to the Horn of Africa). It came wrapped in all of the manufacturer's best trimmings and a very sturdy box with all the documentation (more on that later) and in good working order. I have to say that this watch is very substantial and has a great hefty feel. Not overly bulky and after slight adjustment fits my wrist very well with enough play to be comfortable but not so much as to slap around during movement. I chose the black face for the better contrast and it looks as good, or better than the images I've seen... very legible and not overly cluttered. If you hung on this far, here's the real reason I considered this watch in the first place, the Touch interface. A firm press on the center button activates the touch interface and away you go. The rubberized buttons on the "crown side" are completely sealed and can be used under water to activate the functions while immersed. I was surprised that the button press needed is quite firm and takes some getting used to. But, I'd rather it be that way than constantly activating my watch and wearing the battery down. I have yet to dive with my new watch but, I will remedy that this weekend and will update this review then. The luminous markings are tremendously bright even after a short exposure to light and you still have the red back light if you need it, although it requires you to hold that button firmly for a few seconds to get it to light up. A little too long in my opinion but, I have rarely used it. All in all this watch is very well made. Yes, the stainless steel band is susceptible to minor abrasions and shows signs of wear but, then again this is not a watch that needs to be babied and isn't really noticeable with the satin finish. My only complaint is that I didn't realize that my watch came from a reseller that only offer's their own warranty and not the one direct from Tissot. That said, I saved a good deal off the MSRP although that isn't likely to be an issue as this latest generation of touch technology is pretty much bug free and has been around for the better part of a decade.

Tisot DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO SELL THIS WATCH!Jan 18, 2011

WOW. I was aware of this watch, but only when I came across it (By chance) in a jewelry, and I put it in my wrist, is when I totally feel in love with it. The price difference was huge, so I ordered from Amazon. This watch is pure testosterone. The Strap is thick, The watch Is tall, big, but elegant at the same time. The hands are very visible, and the big LCD screen is very handy when you are over 40 and begin to loose your sight. The Compass works very well, and the Alarm is loud enough to wake you up for sure. The buttons are big, and easy to press. I use the chrono all the time at the Gym. The only drawback, is that the hands are ver hard to see in darkness, but if you have the time on the LCD, you can turn a red light and see it.
This watch is very masculine, yet elegant, and its the most perfect watch you can have if you are looking for Analog - Digital combination, with alarm, crhono and compass. I Never mentioned the Diving, because I don't Dive.
