Heavy, cool and beautifulOct 27, 2009

TAG Heuer really captures the spirit of car racing in this watch. The 1/10 sec timer looks like a tachometer and the minute timer (smaller circle at 9 o'clock) resembles a speedometer. The polished steel ring surrounding the face of the watch inside the glass and the black outer bezel are both pieces of high precision machinery.
The large red hand is only used by the chronometer and not for displaying seconds during normal operation. Only drawback here is that it partly obstructs the view of the date and the TAG Heuer logo, which also maybe could have been a bit more luxurious than just painted. The arm for displaying seconds is in a chrome finish and located by the 3 o'clock mark in it's own little circle.
The brushed stainless steel surface of the band is awesome, shiny but matte at the same time. On the left side of the watch the TAG Heuer text logo is prominently displayed in a large font, etched into the case.
On the picture used by amazon.com it looks like a completely different and ugly watch. It's so much nicer in reality, google it and find a real picture.
I am so pleased with it, it feels great to wear and has a distinctive cool attitude about it. Also it was 600 USD cheaper than in stores in Sweden...

If you've never owned a Tag Heuer, be aware that this is a heavy timepiece. This watch was easily adjusted by a local watchsmith for about $10. My only complaint (buyer beware) is that the advertised deployment buckle clasp is incorrect. My Grand Date watch came with a double safety clasp with diving extension. The serial numbers on the factory label matched the watch and bracelet, so it appears that Amazon needs to correct the clasp description.

I'm really glad I bought this watch from Amazon rather than the local jewelery store as I originally planned. My dealer was going to charge me $1450.00, plus tax, for this watch. I got it delivered overnight for $600.00 less. I've owned Tag watches for nearly 20 years now, and never had any problems with them. If you're looking at this watch, you're probably already familiar with Tag Heuer and their superior product. I can't recommend this brand enough - fantastic craftsmanship and durability. And buying it for nearly half of the asking price of most jewelers is a no-brainer. A word of caution - this is a big watch - nearly 2 inches across. It looks and feels very substantial. It is not for everyone, but if you like this kind of chunky, heavy watch, you can't go wrong with this one.

I'm really satisfied with this watch.
I've paid a little more for this model, instead of other Tags F1 with chronograph, but it is bigger and looks more beautiful.
It's an excellent watch for all times.

I'm so satisfied with this watch and i highly recommend amazon.com. Because they sell a genuine Tag and did a good job for packaging to delivery and of course nobody can beat there price!!!.
