5Tag Heuer Watch - 500MNov 13, 2009
By Aaron M. Owens "a/v guru"
This watch feels like 2.4 lbs of awesome. I also purchased a watch sizer from Amazon that made it easy to size the watch myself (I did have problems finding a jeweler that would size it for me b/c I did not buy the watch from them directly). Beautiful dial, great accuracey of time.

Good buy.

5Beautiful WatchAug 26, 2011
By T. Nine "frisbee_ten"
Am not really a luxury watch type of guy, but am very happy with this watch. My wife bought it for me for our 20th wedding anniversary. I have owned a whole slew of diving watches, Citizen, Seiko, and other brands. This watch is distinct because it is water proof to 500 meters vs. the standard 200 meters. Have had no problems with scratches on the sapphire crystal. Having the date window on the left side of the face rather than the right is also very distinctive. The rotating benzel has raised metal numbering and markers rather than the painted ones (even used by Rolex on the Submariner for twice the price). The Swiss movement is not that usual with it's 8 ticks per second; I have had $300 Invicta's with as accurate timekeeping and very similar Swiss automatic movements (including the same number of jewels). The last finishing touch that makes the watch is the stainless steel watch band. If you look closely you can see all the subtle touches that make it beatiful. The links very slightly taper from the watch down to the clasp (very unusual) and the center links are slightly raised which stands out as the band curves around the wrist. Top quality watch with very many distinctive design elements!

5Mens WatchJan 21, 2011

I ordered the Mens Tag Heuer Aquarace one week before Christmas and it arrived prior to Christmas. Watch was shipped quickly, and in excellent condition. I have been wearing the watch for the last 45 days and I get a lot of compliments on it. My first luxury watch, and I love it!

3WATCH the WATCH warranty!Jan 17, 2012
By A. DUGGAN
Well I love the watch. But I owned it all of about 3 months and the winding crown popped out of the bezel and would not re-seat correctly. Unfortunately, this makes the watch unusable near water. Kind of counters the "Aquaracer" product identity....

Well, no problem right? After all, I have an Amazon watch warranty. That was the moment I realized I was in trouble. The Amazon watch warranty specifically excludes anything to do with the crown. So I ended up with an expensive watch with a near-useless "warranty."

I called an authorized Tag Heuer repair facility and they told me that Tags are notorious for having this problem with the crown. Just something to be aware of - and although I had a warranty - issued from Amazon - it didn't come into play. I haven't yet fixed the watch so I can't say what the cost is. I only say that I now regret not buying this item with a manufacturer's warranty - which would have covered the issue.

Occasionally you can find a good deal on things like this at Amazon and it's the luck of the draw as to whether you will have problems or not. But if you want this particular watch - or BRAND of watch - I would urge you to check out the Amazon warranty before you buy.
