5Glad I bought this watch!Jun 26, 2009
By Myname Goeshere "Rocket Surgeon"
I received this watch about a month ago and worn it pretty much every day since. It's a very nice looking watch. Mine tends to gain about a minute a week, but it's too early to tell if this will be long term or just until "broken in". It does not concern me, I just adjust it about once a week. I had worn it on family trips, camping, the beach etc. and it is very sturdy. I managed to scratch the bezel a tiny bit but it was entirely my fault. I was careless and slammed it hard against a stainless steel fixture as I was turning around and reaching for something I dropped. It sounded and felt bad enough that I thought I had literally smashed the watch to pieces. As it turned out the crystal does not have so much as a faint scratch on it which is a borderline miracle. The bezel has a very tiny gouge in it which is hard to see unless you already know it's there. The point is this watch can take a beating. It's very comfortable and stylish. I only used it in a pool while swimming so I can't speak for its ability to withstand true diving but it had no issues with resisting water. The glowing dots do not stay bright for very long, but then again neither do the ones on my Citizen which cost twice as much.

Good heavy watch, keeps good time, self winding.
Looks good, could almost pass for a Rolex.
Smart-looking enough for everyday wear, as well as those dressy occasions.

5Awesome WatchJan 05, 2011
By S. LE VINE
I recently purchased this watch as my Son recieved one as a gift and I fell in love with it. I wear it to work each day and have had many complements. People often think the purchase price is ten fold what it cost. How long will it last, we will see as it is not a $2500 watch but it sure looks and works like one. Loving it!

5Excellent Watch / SII NH25A movement seems very AccurateJan 07, 2012
By L. Dufresne
Overall, the watch appears to be very nice! It arrived right on time and all the watch surfaces were nicely covered in thin plastic protective wrap, even the see-thru case back. After the first few weeks, it seems to be keeping time quite well for an automatic, at about -6 sec/day, which is actually remarkable for an unadjusted watch at this price level.

BTW: Instead of the MIYOTA 8215 movement (the one shown in Amazon product photos for the this watch) my watch arrived with the SII NH25A movement, which is said to be based on the SEIKO 7S26. SII seems to be associated with SEIKO, but is also known as TMI, which is based in Hong Kong (China).

Although I have never owned a watch with a MIYOTA movement, I was actually looking forward to having a watch that could be hand-wound each day (like the MIYOTA 8215, and unlike the SII NH25A) so I could be certain it is fully powered each day (without buying a watch winder). I wanted to at least try a MIYOTA movement, and I had already tried the SII NH25A, as well as the similar looking SEIKO 7S26.

There is also a new SII NH35A movement which has 24-jewels and is both hand-windable and hackable. And, many buyers on this and other sites are reporting the surprise inclusion of this new NH35A movement when buying a very similar (to this watch) Invicta 8926OB model. In that case, Amazon delivers something of a bonus deal. But with this watch (the 8928C) Amazon advertizes a hand-windable watch, but then delivers a watch without this feature.

This watch is great and looks like it cost so much more. Works and functions as expected, perfect for dress, casual, or going out for dinner.
