Beautiful watch but the strap is easily stainedJan 24, 2010

My wife has always admired this watch and is a big Cartier fan, but in truth, this is not one of the best. First thing was that the strap is very easily stained, once by a slightly damp blue tablecloth in a restaurant three days after we bought it. Cartier is not the slightest bit interested in offering a solution or improvement and this is not a cheap watch.
Second, as an automatic, it will run out of steam in about 24 hours, so has to be stored in a winding box. My wife has about three other Cartiers and several other nice watches, so she does likes to use them all and does not want to be checking that this one is showing the correct time. It is easy to forget to place it in the winder box.
So quartz would have been better and the strap should have much better resistance to staining. For this price, Cartier should change the strap to something better, but there is no indication of that happening nor any reaction from them to this problem.
If these issues are not important, it really looks good on a nice slim wrist, as do most of the Cartiers.
Not very pleasedFeb 06, 2011
By Razza I have this watch, and I must say I regret spending $5000 (that's how much I originally paid for it). The white rubber strap gets dirty really fast, and the watch just looks plain dirty after a while. I think for a luxury, expensive watch it definitely should be a better quality. Oh yea, and the constant resetting of time is annoying.
