Pasha Seatimer WatchFeb 22, 2008
By M.A. Lo I have a number of very nice watches in my collection, and my Pasha Seatimer undoubtedly receives the most compliments. The 40.5mm case is absolutely perfectly sized for a medium/large wrist, and doesn't overwhelm the senses like the 45mm watches you now see on the market. The weight is heavy so you are always aware of the watch, and despite being fairly unassuming, the look gives off an imposing masculine appearance that grabs attention. Power reserve is approximately 30 hours or so, and I use a regular watch winder to keep it synced when I alternate watches. I have yet to meet anyone else on the street that has one, so there is a sense of originality that will set you apart from the masses.

A special timepieceOct 11, 2011

I'm a watch junkie. There are really no two ways about it. I love timepieces, and I always have since I was 12 or 13 years old. You'll never find me without a watch on my wrist or in my pocket. If I had a lottery windfall I would surely head to the nearest high-end watch boutique to do some heavy damage. I think a Patek Philippe and/or a Jaeger-LeCoultre would certainly be in order. However, the reality check is that I don't have that kind of money, and I can't drop $20,000 on a watch. Despite its diminutive price tag in comparison, the Cartier watch I purchased was a splurge for me, a splurge I've waited and squirreled away money to purchase for many years. When I saw this new model in the Pasha line, I knew the time had come to act.
I am happy I made the purchase because the watch has a unique look. It is different than the other watches in my burgeoning collection, and it embodies what I love about Cartier watches, particularly the Pasha models. Namely, it has a lovely, simple, open design on its face, and I like the contrast of the white-on-black numbering. The band is also quite unique with its silky rubberized feel. Most of my fine watches are chronographs, but this watch is a departure from that trend. I find I don't miss the added functionality. Most of the time the unidirectional bezel timer is all I need.
Would this be a good watch for someone else? It's hard to say because the appeal of a timepiece is so individualized. However, for me, I really love this. It is not something that I see others wearing, even in a big city like New York, and it speaks to the simplicity that I seek and value in life. However, more than anything else, it makes me feel special to wear such a lovely piece of jewelry, and I feel privileged and thankful that I was able to buy it.
