WHAT AMAZON DON'T TELL YOU!May 23, 2009
By M. Wentzler I purchased this T Touch Titaniam from AMAZON.com and am extremely disappointed. 3 months after receiving the watch it stopped working. I called Tissot in New Jersey and was told that since I purchased it from "Amazon" the warranty is VOID. Amazon informed me to send the watch to a watchshop in Kentucky and after I got it back it worked for 5 days. The watch is currently back in Kentucky being fixed for the second time.
Don't buy these expensive watches from AMAZON even if it's a few hundred dollars. Good luck

Great WatchNov 21, 2010
By Jim van Oss This is a great watch, it's pretty big but being made from titanium minimizes the weight; it is much lighter than it looks.
There are 2 things I don't like:
1. The background looks like a carbon fiber weave which is distracting
2. The band has removable links and 2 adjustments in the clasp, but that doesn't provide enough adjustment; it's either too tight or too loose.
The altimeter seems to get out of calibration often and the thermometer only measures the temperature of your wrist; you have to remove it for 30 minutes to get an accurate reading.
bad points aside, I like the 2 time zone capability.

I have had problems too.Jan 08, 2011
By Plastics Guy Over the past 5 years, one or more of the buttons have stopped working three times and during another problematic period, the watch would lose its memory if I accidentally gently knocked it on a door frame or something. Luckily, I had an extended warranty through Fortunoff but they have gone out of business in my area. I think the watch is really sharp looking and functions well when it is working but I definitely would NOT buy another one or recommend this brand to anyone even though I love the Titanium and the crystal that never scratches. Also the altimeter and stop watch are hard to read anytime at half past the hour and I can never remember which hand is north, the big one or the long one. Also, it would really benefit from a light as I have trouble holding my cell phone over it while I am looking at a topo map when I am out hiking too late. Other watches out there seem to not have these flaws but I haven't found any that have sapphire crystals yet.

perfect for what it's intended forDec 21, 2009
By Alain Tiphaine I have gone thru two Casio Pathfinders that stopped working only after a few months of use. Good watches but they had their glitches. Amazon Customer Service was great in handling the issues. After searching for a replacement,I was about to purchase a Suunto, but then I found the Tissot T-Touch Expert in Titanium. Yes its more expensive than either the Suunto or Casio, but you also get what you pay for. I mainly use it when I am outdoors, hiking, snow shoeing, x country skiing, etc. living in Montana that is just about every day. the watch is very sturdy, yes the titanium scratches, but you can take out the scratches with a 3M pad. All titanium watches can be cleaned this way. the functions are on the money. The compass feature is very accurate and very easy to change declinations. The altitude needs to be reset very often as its based on pressure. weather changes and the altitude reading will change accordingly. The pressure reading is only H.Pascals, which is fine if you are used to always reading it this way. In the US the majority of readings are in inches of Mercury. so initially one needs to refer back to a conversion table, but eventually one gets the hang of it. the diving extension is handy if one is hiking in the winter and one wants the watch to be outside the clothes. Watch is big, but its meant to be big. Its a functional watch, not a dress watch. Who wants a small watch when one needs to gather information from the face? Taking into account the size of the watch, its very light. Going in a few weeks, on an extended back country hike. Plenty of knee deep snow, cold temps, so the watch should be in its element. Will be using GPS for back up navigation, but want to use the watch's compass to navigate. will give an update on its performance when I am back. so far, its a real winner.
