Last one I had like this lasted me 22 years. Would still be wearing it today, if I hadn't gone swimming in it. Gasket must have crimped at last battery change, because it used to be waterproof. They are a little thicker and heavier than current models, but I like that. I don't seem to have much luck with automatic watches, so being able to buy a battery model is a plus for me. I find the batteries usually last me about 7 years on average.

Recently received this watch from Amazon expeditiously...and it was well packaged. My two primary reasons for selecting this Seiko model were the appearance and price. When I took the watch out of the box, I was very pleased with its appearance; I find myself continually admiring this beautiful work of art. I still can't believe I paid less than $65 US for it. So far, it appears to be running very well, without any timing abberations. So why 4 stars rather than 5? Setting the day and date is not as easily done as it could be. And the abbreviations of the days of the week should be in one language only, not two. Anyone who thinks more than one language is a good idea, might want to consider just how many languages should be the limit...three, four,five? Even though I speak that other language, I still believe in keeping it simple-one language. The band (in this case a beautiful two tone bracelet) is much too large for most people's wrists, and inevitably must be adjusted for a proper fit.

The watch would keep time ok. The problem is the date and the the day of the month would never stay after being corrected.

I bought this watch for my husband. He didn't like the strap for it was big on his wrist. Went to his friend's jewelry shop and got it fixed. I found that watch in their store and the price was 165.00 US dollars. I told my husband that for the price I paid, which is 3x cheaper than that,I think I did good in buying it and it's Seiko.

This is a great price - $55.00 - everywhere else $130.00 and up! Watch is Seiko brand, so how can you go wrong? Two-tone is good enough for dress and casual enough for every-day.
